Tell us what is inside your Windows PC. We will estimate the size of local AI model it can realistically run — and whether a GPU will make a meaningful difference.

What the calculator is estimating
Local models use system RAM and, when accelerated, GPU VRAM. The exact requirement varies with model architecture, quantisation, context length and software. The recommendations above are deliberately practical ranges rather than a promise that every model of a given parameter count will fit.
| PC memory | Practical starting point |
|---|---|
| 8 GB RAM | Small 1B–3B quantised models |
| 16 GB RAM | Common 3B–8B quantised models |
| 32 GB RAM | More comfortable 7B–14B use and larger contexts |
| 64 GB+ RAM | Larger local models become practical, though speed depends heavily on GPU/CPU |
Do I need a GPU?
No. Local AI can run on a modern CPU. A compatible GPU is primarily about speed and the ability to keep more of the model in fast graphics memory. If your PC has no dedicated GPU, start with a smaller quantised model rather than assuming local AI will not work.
Why try Beginza AI?
Running a model is only the first step. Beginza AI is designed to turn local models into a private Windows assistant that can work with your documents and retain useful personal context on your computer.
Your AI. Your knowledge. Your computer.
